Join Catherine Wolko second-generation Beekeeper and owner of The Humble Bee Co. for a PowerPoint lecture about our amazing local pollinators and their importance to our environment. Catherine is a member of the Backyard Beekeepers Association, The American Beekeeping Federation and a proud member of The Connecticut Farm Bureau. Protecting our pollinators begins with us. Why should we care? Learn about the plight of the Monarch Butterfly, the honey bee, and the endangered native bumble bees. Learn how we can do our part to save these fascinating pollinators. We are depend on honey bees for at least one third of the food that we eat every day. Learn about our most important pollinators and the Beekeepers that tend to them as well as the benefits of protecting our pollinators.
