THE ANSONIA NATURE CENTER BUILDING IS CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE DUE TO COVID-19. ALL PROGRAMS ARE VIRTUAL UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
Do you take animals?
No, we do not take animals. If you have a pet you are looking to re-home, consider talking to: your local animal shelter, your veterinarian, local pet stores, petfinder.com and rescueme.org.
Do you take wildlife?
No, we do not take in any kind of wildlife. Please contact the Connecticut Wildlife Rehabilitators Association or the CT DEEP Wildlife Division for help with injured or abandoned wildlife.
What are your hours?
Spring through Fall: Sunday-Saturday, 9am-5pm
Winter: Sunday: 11am-4pm, Monday-Saturday: 9am-5pm
Is there an admission fee?
No. Admission is free. We happily accept donations at our donation box, located near our front entrance.
Are there trails? Is there a map?
Yes, there are about 2 miles of trail. The map can be found here.
