Twice a year, the Friends of the Ansonia Nature Center, Inc. (FANCI), in cooperation with the City of Ansonia, hosts festivals to support the Nature Center, its conservation efforts, and its mission to foster environmental stewardship and connect people to the natural world of the Lower Naugatuck River Valley. These joyful celebrations of community and of our shared land would not be possible without the tireless efforts of our dedicated volunteers. Our Earth Day celebration in April and our Autumn Fest in October feature informative exhibits from local community non-profits, craft vendors, games for kids, food trucks, raffles, and activities throughout the day, such as hikes and live animal shows.
