Why donate?

The City of Ansonia pays the Nature Center’s building costs and pays for the staff to run the building, but there is not much left over in the budget for education, animal care and other projects.  Donations take care of our animals, buy supplies for our educational classes, and maintain our grounds.

Where will my donation go?

100% of your donation goes to support the Ansonia Nature Center’s programs, resident animals and special projects.

Let us know what you would like to sponsor! We have many projects we are looking to have sponsored! Our plans aim high, but we need support!

• Building Renovations:
  • Construction of a new animal viewing area
  • New space for animal care and food prep.
  • Create handicapped accessibility to renovated exhibit space.

How Do I Make My Donation?

FANCI is a 501c3 organization, making your donation tax deductible. Checks can be made out and mailed to the Friends of the Ansonia Nature Center, Inc. (FANCI). Or click on the button below to donate via PayPal

Annual Appeals

Yearly donations provide the flexibility to meet the most pressing needs facing the Ansonia Nature and Recreation Center, whether it be animal care, educational equipment, or building renovations. Every gift is needed and appreciated.

Memorial Gifts

Often, family and friends want to help by donating to a cause that was special to a loved one. Your donation will help us foster love for, respect for, and knowledge of the natural world, to not only this generation of children, but to many generations of children to come. Large gifts we receive will be acknowledged with brass placards that state what the donated funds helped make happen.
