FANCI
The Friends of the Ansonia Nature Center Inc. (FANCI) exists to support the staff, programs, and the vision of the Ansonia Nature Center.
The Friends of the Ansonia Nature Center, Inc. is a non-profit 501c3 organization comprised of nature-loving adults and children and was established in 1991. The Friends have provided volunteer and financial support for the park, its programs, and staff ever since.
Special events, such as the annual Earth Day Celebration and the Autumn Festival, would not be possible without the help of FANCI. In addition, FANCI helps maintain the trail system, provides clerical work, stocks and staffs the nature shop, and writes grants for funding opportunities.
How To Become A Member
You, too, can become a member of FANCI! Be one of our Friends!
Included in all FANCI memberships:
Your membership makes possible FANCI’s mission of supporting the staff, the programs, and the vision of
the Ansonia Nature Center.
10% of each membership is contributed to the FANCI Scholarship Fund.
A subscription to the quarterly Calendar of Events and Friends’ Focus newsletter.
Individual (one adult) — $15.00 per year or $150.00 one-time payment for Individual Life Membership
In addition to the items included in all FANCI memberships:
10% discount on adult programs with membership card
15% discount on Nature Store purchases of $10 or more with membership card
Free or discounted admission and/or gift store and program purchases with membership card at more than
180 ANCA Reciprocal Network centers nationwide—such as nature centers and museums. Find the list of

Invitation to FANCI monthly and annual meetings; at the annual meeting, members can vote for and run
for the board
Family (up to 2 adults, with children at the same address, or parents/grandparents and their
children/grandchildren) — $25.00 per year or $250.00 one-time payment for Family Life Membership
Includes all the benefits of an Individual membership, plus:
One additional adult can receive the 10% discount on adult programs
Children included in membership receive 15% discount on Nature Days
Members are offered early registration for Nature Days
One additional adult can vote at the Annual Meeting
Organization (structured group, e.g., school class, scout troop, homeschool group, club, small business) —
$125.00 per year
In addition to the items included in all FANCI memberships:
One free class or program per membership year (up to 20 people)
20% discount on one pavilion rental per membership year (up to 75 people)
One representative can vote at the Annual Meeting
Corporate Sponsor (business or other structured group) — $500.00 per year
Includes all the benefits of an Organization membership, plus:
Opportunities to advertise in our mailings and at our events.
